Boomers and Seniors on the Move-2016 Directory for Older Adults

Boomers and Seniors on the Move

Boomers and Seniors on the Move-2016 Directory for Older Adults.

Proud to once again be supporting the Born to Age Directory for Older Adults for 2016. They will be celebrating their 10th year. I am proud to be the ONLY Seniors Real Estate Specialist represented in this magazine. Let me know if you have been wondering, “Who’s going to take care of me (or Mom & Dad) when I no longer can?” It’s a good question. Not many of us want to think about it, nor have made any plans. Many clients I work with don’t address this until a crisis occurs. Everyone hopes and prays for good health, prosperity and longevity.

Most of us will outlive our ability to drive. Past 80, approx. 50% of us will have some form of dementia, or some form of a chronic disease. So, it might be a good idea to understand the options and possibilities. Talk to your children, parents, family members, friends, trusted advisers about how you INTEND to live as you get older.

So much has changed in senior care in the past decade alone and most people have no idea just how much. New products are being introduced, new advances in technology, new senior living communities are opening-the rapidity of change is imminent. Let me know how I can help get you the resources and assistance you need now or for your future.

Walnut Creek Home Sellers-STAY NEUTRAL

stay neutral

stay neutral

You may have enjoyed your dark green carpeting or burgundy accent wall, but most buyers will have a hard time imaging their furniture in a room with such dramatic color. It’s time to tone it down. Ready to move, possibly downsize your home?Make your home market ready! Using neutral colors helps prospective buyers create their own vision for the house, and will also leave them with less work to undo if they buy your home. At the same time, get rid of clutter and pack away the family photos. We know you are proud to show off your kids or grandchildren, but you are going to move, so now is the time to carefully wrap them up and store for now. Again, a buyer needs to be able to see themselves living in your house.

Other helpful hints I share with home sellers:

Dark panelling-paint or remove – lighten up!

Out of date light fixtures and hardware-switch them for something more modern – make it shine!

Chipped mirrors-frame them-say, “Cheese!”

Too much furniture-keep a few key pieces and store the rest – room to breathe

Popcorn ceilings – popcorn belongs at the movies!

Ask me for simple tips and tricks to get your home sold quickly and for the most amount of money. It’s a sellers market, but don’t  you want your property to be the one buyers are willing to pay top dollar for, or even multiple offers?! Let’s get you moved!

Peace of Mind with Reverse Mortgage for Purchase

Recent survey by Fidelity Research Institute states 40% of those over 60 plan to move at least 1x during retirement.
Did you know…you can use a Reverse Mortgage to PURCHASE a home & NEVER have a mortgage payment?
MYTHS: Your children will lose thier inheritance. The bank takes the home when you pass. Fees are too high.
WHO: Those that have a down no less than 50%, don’t want a mo. payment, ‘cash buyers’ wanting to retain liquidity, senior downsizing, lack of income=lack of traditional financing options.

WHY: Increase your quality of life, financial freedom, peace of mind. Could this be right for you?
Let’s discuss. I will connect you with a seasoned, caring loan officer that will answer all your questions.

Seniors on the Move – Don’t Make One without a Professional

Many people make the mistake of beginning to downsize without having first done their homework. A vital first step in the process of downsizing, relocating to a retirement community, or making a move to a new location is meeting with a qualified professional to determine the most effective and efficient course of action.
Making the mistake of skipping this step can cost you valuable dollars and cause you undue stress. Do your homework and talk to a professional Realtor who specializes in working with “seniors on the move”!

What is my home worth?

What will I need to do to sell my home?

What do I do with all this ‘stuff’?

Who can I trust to make repairs and move my things?

How do I coordinate all these details?

I am a Senior Real Estate Specialist with the resources and experience to make your transition as easy as possible.

94598 Home Sellers – The time is NOW

Yes, the buyer pool is smaller this time of year. But so is the seller pool.
And the buyers who are active are typically very motivated: motivated enough to stay in town over the holidays, to get out in the wet and cold and see homes, to score the tax advantages they can recoup as soon as January if they can just close by year’s end. Walnut Creek Home Sellers, the Fall/Holiday selling season has considerable advantages, which you’ll miss if you opt out of it.
Seek the advise of your trusted real estate consultant to learn what your home is currently worth and how to easily get it market-ready!
